September 2026 update: Post Dragon Con and more!

We made it through Con Season, folks, so we can stand back, catch our breaths, and reflect a little.

It's been a big year for cons. Not quite my busiest from my dozen years in the business, but close to it. I'm pleased that I didn't get horribly sick from it all like I did last year.

"But how did Dragon Con go?" I hear you say.

It went fabulously. I got to serve up quite a few books to quite a few readers across my two sales events, my book signing, and then through the booths that stocked my books. It was the first time I had hardbacks available, specifically for Songs & Sorcery, and I sold out entirely, so expect more of that in the future. At least at the speed my publisher puts out hardcover editions!

Special shout out to Jakob, who waited an entire year to get that hardback edition.

Programming was equally great. I was honored to be on multiple LitRPG panels, despite only now about to re-enter the genre with a new book, and got to panel alongside some of the greats, like Matt Dinnaman, Tao Wong, Rose Reynolds, and Jay Boyce. We talked about some great topics, gave some great craft information, and delved into some more controversial things, like social advocacy in the genre.

With that being said, that's it for con appearances for the year. I get to rest, get back to hardcore writing, and revamp my editing business. Expect some serious website updates to that aspect of my career in the weeks ahead.

For now, I need to get back to work. Final edits on Cat-Girl Heroine are due in any day now, and I'm eagerly working on Infamous, the third book of The Push Chronicles, to hopefully get that out by con season of 2027.
